Truly a subscriber to her own philosophy, Joan Healey's artwork is a unique combination of that which is intimate, lively, and most of all, genuine. Whether featuring a landscape or a group of children, Joan Healey reminds the viewer of those special moments that are all too easily lost in the chaos of day to day life.
Born & raised in Edmonton, Alberta, Joan Healey is essentially a self-taught artist. What began in the early 1970's as a hobby has since flourished into a full time career. Today, this established artist's pieces reside in many corporate collections, including The Alberta Dairy Pool, The Edmonton Journal, The Edmonton Real Estate Board, Shaw Cable, and the Edmonton Northlands. In addition, Healey's work has been featured on the Christmas cards of the Toronto Maple Leafs, Edmonton Oilers and the Calgary Flames.
